Faith OPC Nursery & Greeters
Your admin team is working on the Greeters and Nursery Caregivers volunteer schedule for 2025. If you would like to help in one of these opportunities and are not currently on the list, please let us know and we will add you to the rotating schedule. If you’d like to serve, please reply to this email or contact us.
Nursery Caregiver: Our church loves having children worship along with parents in the sanctuary. Occasionally, a child may become too restless and we are blessed to have a spot for them to go. A caregiver will be available in the nursery to watch the child/children and the parents can stay and listen to the sermon. We are very low on supply of people to serve in this rewarding manner. Prayfully consider serving.
Session has required a Nursery Caregiver to submit to a background check, or anyone for that matter that serves in Sunday School, Youth Ministry, or VBS. We want to ensure everyone that we are above reproach in our ministry to the children and youth. Elder Keith Hansen can direct you on how to apply.
We are looking for Nursery Caregivers to serve during Sunday school and during Worship Service (if children are very disruptive). Our church has a new Nursery that is equipped with a TV to stream the Worship Service from YouTube.
We also have a Cry Room that is soundproof for crying babies and is located in the room to the right of the entrance to the sanctuary. This room now is equipped with sound to hear the Worship Service.
The weekly announcements in the bulletin will have the names of the volunteers for the current week and the following week. They can also be found online in the Faith OPC Google calendar. The calendar is updated monthly and if you are unavailable in the Nursery on the Sunday you are scheduled, please arrange to trade your day with someone on the list (we will supply any caregivers a list of servers) to ensure we always have the nursery covered during morning worship.
Greeter: It is wonderful to have people/families welcoming each other to the sanctuary. A Greeter will hand out a bulletin and say hello especially to people that have not attended our church before. And encourage new people to them to fill out a Welcome Card, that is located in the front of each pew and then give to an Elder or drop in the box in the foyer.
Again, thank you for your kind willingness to serve. If you have any questions, please let us know. Our prayer is that this will be a blessing to you and others.
With love and thankfulness,
The Admin Team
