Worship

At Faith Church the Lord’s Word, the Bible, guides public worship. We approach the Father, Son and Holy Spirit by humble confession and a calling on God for His mercy and help. Trusting in the person and grace of the Lord Jesus, we recognize that we are His, and each Lord’s Day in worship we are to be renewed in His mercies. Covenant renewal worship—what a rich blessing!

We seek to avoid sentimentalism, entertainment-centered, seeker-sensitive ways or dry formality. Importantly, we promote congregational participation through prayers, reciting words of praise and Scripture and joyful singing of Psalms and hymns. With the Word of God as our guide—whether read, recited, or proclaimed through preaching—we bless God and one another with His Truth. We are fed the Word of God, and we eat at the Lord’s Table every week. Having known the wonder of the presence of the Lord in worship, we go out into the world to fulfill our callings—men, women and children, living lives of faithful obedience to His commands. At the close, we declare that our God reigns! May He use us in His world for His glory and witness!
