Faith Church celebrates the Lord’s Supper each Lord’s Day. “The broken bread and the wine symbolize the Lord’s broken body and shed blood; the physical eating and drinking of these point to a spiritual appropriation of the fruits of the sacrifice of Christ; and the whole sacrament is a constant reminder of His redemptive death.” L. Berkhof,  A Summary of Christian Doctrine

In this sacrament God confirms that He is faithful and true to fulfill the promises of His covenant as He calls us to deeper gratitude for our salvation, to renewed consecration, and to more faithful obedience. The Supper is a bond and pledge of the communion that believers have with Him and with each other as members of his body. As Scripture says, “For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread” (1 Cor. 10:17). The Supper reminds us of Christ’s past sacrifice of His body and blood for us, gives us visible signs of our present communion with Him, and points to the future when we will gather with Christ and all His redeemed people at the glorious wedding feast of the Lamb.  As we come to the Lord’s Table, we humbly resolve to deny ourselves, to crucify the sin that is within us, to resist the devil, and to follow Christ as becomes those who bear his name.

All who have been baptized and are professing members of His church, under the care of elders or a church’s leadership, either at Faith Church or in another Christ preaching church are invited to the Lord’s Table.
